At the present time, Marcy Azure Cross Trainer EL1016 is easily one of the most overlooked pieces of fitness equipment. In fact, beginners and people who plan to purchase an exercise equipment for home use mostly ignore this elliptical cross trainer. Firstly, similarly to the fact that the Reebok ZR8 cross trainer and Reebok ZR9 treadmill are parts of their own ZR series, Impex Fitness also has its own range of fitness equipment known as Marcy Azure.

Good Looking
Firstly, you may find humour in my experience, however, the first time I saw this, I was thinking that it belonged to the most high-tech cross trainers in the market today. Although don’t get me wrong, that is not a bad thing! It only means that the design did what it’s supposed to and consequently caught my attention.
Furthermore, I like how detailed it is from curvy handles, the flywheel cover and all the way to the foot pedal design. Perhaps all these small details added up and tricked my eyes into telling my mind that this is one of the most advanced cross trainers.
Earth-Friendly
Console shows time, distance, speed, and calories.
In addition, the Marcy Azure EL1016 runs on batteries. Greener Earth! But there is space where you can place your phone or tablet so you can put on some music or watch a workout video. Furthermore, there are hand pulse sensors on the inner handles allowing you to monitor your pulse as you workout.
Good Warranty
Further, it is not too pricey. And my favourite thing about budget-friendly fitness machines is when they come with a warranty. This, therefore, ensures that every quid I spend is secured and in a way, safe. Moreover, Marcy Azure EL1016 comes with a 2-year warranty on frame and parts.
8 Resistance Levels
Since this elliptical cross trainer needs no mains, it does not have pre-set workout programmes like these cross trainers. But somehow, it would need some kind of compromise to even things out by adding 8 resistance levels. This can, therefore, vary the intensity of your workout.
But…
Limited Users
This level of simplicity still comes with some disadvantage. For example, having 8 resistance levels is not enough to cater for various levels of fitness. It can only go as far as beginner-level and people who are recovering from a previous injury. This might be a good alternative for those who can’t afford to purchase a recumbent bike.

Further, SportPlus Elliptical Cross Trainer uses a belt resistance system. This may be a good alternative for beginners since it is not too expensive and it offers you just the right value for money. It would be easy to move this cross trainer thanks to the rollers attached to the bottom.
However, it does not transform into a stationary bike like the other cross trainers in its’ price range. The instruction manual, sadly only comes in German but this won’t be of too much impact as the assembly of this cross trainer is quite easy and anyone should be able to figure it out.

Conclusion
In reality, the cross trainers on this list all look pretty much the same to me. Most of them have 4kg flywheels, all are quite budget-friendly but gets the job done. Of course, some come with a warranty, but some don’t. What I specifically like about the Marcy Azure EL1016 is that the design looks so good. Other than that, it is a part of a range of product. Further, I find it cool that it is a piece-of-a-puzzle. Simultaneously, earth-friendly, relatively easy to use, not too pricey, and it also comes with a 2-year warranty.
