Have had one of these for around 3 years now - I do an hour at a time on its hardest setting, 4-5 times per week. Its on its 3rd clutch now and 2nd recoil spring though but perfect apart from that! At this price I doubt it can be beaten!

I'm very happy with this machine and it is such an improvement on my previous rower. It gives a real workout and is very simple and smooth to use. The air flow is quite loud which makes watching TV whilst rowing quite tricky but that's a small price to pay. Well recommended and appears great value.

It came in a single box with good assembly instructions. The build quality is excellent. Paying the extra money for a seat on castors was worthwhile. We have never used any excercise machine before, so were reliant on the manual. I would NOT recommend this as they suggest a beginner's program should be 60 strokes/min for 20 mins! Having sought some more realistic advice from our children (who do go to gyms etc), we now understand how to use it properly. The manual was uninformative (I still don't know what units the 'distance' is measured in). At first, we found the blast of cold air from every stroke was off-putting. But once we started using the machine properly, it proved welcome and refreshing.

Great rowing machine, fairly simple to put together and nice and smooth to row.
